My Good Morning America & NYC Times Square Experience!

They say if you have a dream, the best place to achieve it is in New York City!

New York - the Big Apple, the city that never sleeps, the city of dreams - the place that offers you unique experiences that you will never forget. I had the time of my life taking in a lot that the city had to offer.

From the food, to the sites, to the fun, see and hear about my experience in New Yooorrrk! *Alicia Keys' voice* lol

EXPLORING

Arriving in New York was like a dream. I was excited to immediately go explore, especially since the hotel was in the heart of Times Square.

You can see the excitement on my face as I discovered that Good Morning America was only a minute walk away. I guess my excitement was evident to those around me because some dude jumped in my picture as I was getting my photo opp!

Look at my face in the second pic! lol I was so tickled, and he got a kick out of photo-bombing me.

Well played, random guy lol.

JUNIOR'S RESTAURANT

The rest of that day was left to more exploring of the nearby area, including eating across the street at Junior's!

If you're a Making The Band fan, then you'll remember the infamous episode when Diddy made Da Band walk across the Brooklyn Bridge just to go get him some cheesecake from Juniors. After eating this strawberry cheesecake, I'd say it was worth it! It was SO good. You can see I couldn't wait to dig in before taking a pic.

STEPS AWAY FROM BROADWAY & MORE SIGHTSEEING

GOOD MORNING AMERICA!

What was probably my most memorable experience was visiting ABC's Good Morning America Live Taping in Times Square! My mama and I are faithful GMA watchers, so to have the opportunity to go visit the studio and see some of my faves like Robin, Michael, Lara, Ginger, David, and Amy? ... of course! Waking up at 5am and braving the cold 48 degree weather was so worth it!

Meeting Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan are experiences I will always remember! Robin was the sweetest (and how can you NOT LOVE her style!?) *shout out to her stylist Diandre Tristan ... he also took this pic* and Michael was the coolest; we even had a quick chat as we were about to take a pic. He was a very nice guy!

TOUR TIME

You would think after all that excitement that I would have been tied (no typo) - and you're right lol - but I couldn't stop there. There was so much more of the city to be seen! Big Bus Tours had the perfect Hop-On Hop-Off Tour Package. We were allowed entry into several attractions in the city. See some of the pics below.

M&M'S WORLD

ONE WORLD OBSERVATORY

One of the stops on the tour was the One World Observatory, the site of the World Trade Center. Because of the passes from the tour, we were able to skip the line and go right in and up to the desk. Once we passed security, we were taken in small groups up to the very top, the 102nd floor, on an innovative and tech-forward elevator. Here are some stunning views from above. Definitely nothing short of amazing and such an honor to be able to experience it. You can see the Statue of Liberty in the distance.

MADISON SQUARE GARDEN

Madison Square Garden - the Mecca of arenas and basketball stadiums, the home of the NBA's New York Knicks and the WNBA's New York Liberty. This tour was so much fun! Madison Square Garden is rooted in so many historical moments. Check out the pics. I even experienced the Private Suites - nice!

THE FOOD!

I've always heard that if you take a trip to NYC, you've got to try authentic New York Style food; I wanted to eat where the locals eat, so I could get the true New York experience! Of course, that meant trying the hotdogs from the street vendors and getting authentic New York Pizza. Well, to my surprise, I discovered that Patzeria Pizza had some of the best pizza that I'd ever had! I tried the Lasagna Pizza and got hooked lol. (I actually went there two more times before the trip ended - ha!) It was only a few steps from the hotel.

Check out some of the other places that had some great food!

Even though I was able to do a lot, I still didn't touch the tip of the iceberg of all I wanted to see and do! There will be a next time, and I can't wait!
